H. C. Lee, Ph.D.
CEO, CBrite Inc.
Dr. Lee is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Diode Solutions Inc. Previously, he was the Founder, President and CEO of E2O Communications, which was sold to JDS Uniphase in May 2004 for $60M in cash. Founded in 1998, E2O products provide improved system performance, reduced product size and cost, as well as, decreased time to market, and are used by some of the most well known names in the optical networking around the world. Prior to this entrepreneurial venture, Dr. Lee was the Lab Manager of the Display, Sensor and Energy Labs at Motorola. He joined Motorola in 1991 where he developed the first MOCVD-grown, low threshold, high yield 850nm VCSEL in 1992 that led to the product introduction of Optobus™, a 10 channel parallel link. He has also architected and pioneered a number of successful programs in Motorola including organic electro-luminescence display, RF and bio-MEMS, thin film fuel cell and DNA diagnostics chip. Prior to joining Motorola, Dr. Lee was a member of technical staff of PCO, a joint venture between IBM and Corning, responsible in developing high performance optoelectronic devices for fiber communications. Dr. Lee has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California. He has more than 45 issued US patents and was a member of Motorola’s Science Advisory Board Associates.
 
 
     
Myunghee Lee, Ph.D.
VP, Samsung Electronics
Dr. Lee is currently a Vice-President of Samsung Electronics Co, Ltd. Previously, he was an Integrating Manager at Agilent Technologies Fiber Optics Product Division, overseeing the successful release of various chipsets for fiber-optic module products – XFP dual CDR with EDC, 10Gbps serial to XAUI w/ EDC, 4Gbps/2Gbps FC chipset; 12-channels repeater IC, 5Gbps parallel chipset and automotive Plastic-Optical-Fiber transceiver. Prior to that he was a Project Manager of the Parallel-Optic Interconnect Group, which successfully released 12-channels, 2.5Gbps/Channel TX/RX chipset and a 4-channels 3.125Gbps/Channel transceiver IC and established Agilent Technologies as the technical leader for Parallel Optics. Dr. Lee has a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. He has 4 issued US Patents.
 
     
 
Han Quang Le, Ph.D.
Professor, University of Houston
Dr. Le has over 20 years experience in high tech and defense industry, and is also a professor at the University of Houston since 1999. Prior to the present position, he was at Lincoln Laboratory, MIT in Lexington, Massachusetts, where he developed numerous R&D projects for national security applications in communications, aerospace and defense electronics. Dr. Le has performed advisory consultation and collaboration with defense industries and federal agencies; and served on many expert study panels. Dr. Le also interacted widely with start-ups in the area of telecom photonics, and performed consultation for venture capital investment firms and served as free-lance consultant/advisor for their portfolio companies. Dr. Le received a Ph. D. in Physics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
 
 
     
 
Bill Diamond
President and Founder, Technology Growth Partner
Mr. Diamond has more than 20 years experience in technology companies in roles ranging from Chief Executive to Vice President and Director positions in Sales, Marketing and Operations. Prior to forming Technology Growth Partner, Mr. Diamond was Chief Executive Officer at Xradia, Inc., a manufacturer of advanced x-ray microscope systems for semiconductor, advance materials and life science applications. Mr. Diamond was President at Neptec Optical Solutions before joining Xradia and currently serves on their board. Chief Executive Officer positions were also held at WaveSplitter Technologies - manufacturer of passive components for optical networks, and DenseLight Semiconductor, a Singapore-based manufacturer of semiconductor lasers and LEDs. He served as Vice President of Marketing at E-Tech Dynamics through their highly successful IPO and subsequent sale to JDS Uniphase. Mr. Diamond spent 6 years with AT&T Microelectronics and Lucent Technologies, including 5 years in Europe directing both Optoelectronics and Semiconductor Sales and Marketing activities. Other executive leadership roles include Operations and Marketing Directorships at fiber-optics pioneer Lasertron, Inc. as well as Sales, Marketing and business Development for Laser Analystics and Spectra Phyics. Mr. Diamond has a BA in Physics from Holy Cross College and an MBA in International Management from Georgetown University. He serves on the advisory board for Georgetown's McDonough School of Business Administration and is a member of the board at Auxora, Inc.
 
 
Bill Collins
Managing Director, Starboard Venture Partners
Past President, Tech Coast Angels, Los Angeles

Bill Collins is a managing director of Starboard Venture Partners, LLC and is past president of the Tech Coast Angels in LA. Bill started his career at Intel Corporation, quickly becoming a lead sales person on the IBM account and helping to establish the Intel-IBM relationship. He was a key executive for International Rectifier, ramping the company from $60M to over $700M. Collins was instrumental in taking IR's power MOS technology from the early adopter phase to global market leadership in multiple market segments. He then became an angel investor and a prolific deal lead with a successful portfolio. He serves in multiple BOD and advisory roles and is a certified corporate director. He is a frequent industry panelist and guest lecturer at CalTech and USC. Bill has an EE degree from Clarkson University.
 
 
Charles F. Krumm, Ph.D.
Co-Founder Cosemi Technologies / Expert Consultant
Dr. Krumm is a recognized authority in technology development and production of GaAs devices. He has worked at Raytheon and Hughes and Skyworks. At Raytheon Dr. Krumm was one of the early contributors to the development and commercialization of GaAs technology. At Hughes he held positions of increasing responsibility in technology development and operations management. He managed the Hughes team participation in the $536M DARPA-sponsored MIMIC GaAs technology development program. When Hughes merged with Raytheon, he was made Vice President of the 900 person Strategic Technology Organization for the combined companies. Later as General Manager at Raytheon, he was responsible for the 700 person RF Components organization. At Skyworks he cut the technology development cycle time from 2 ½ years to less than 9 months. Dr. Krumm has published over 50 papers, holds 4 U.S. patents. Dr. Krumm received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.
