Mehran Matloubian Ph.D.
Independent Consultant
Dr. Matloubian is currently an independent consultant. Previously, he was Smart Technology Ventures' Chief Technology Officer, and a Managing Member. He received his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from UCLA, where he majored in solid-state electronics, with minors in quantum electronics, and materials science. Dr. Matloubian has more than 20 years' experience in developing microwave and millimeter wave devices and circuits, optical electronics, and high-frequency dielectric materials. Prior to STV, Dr. Matloubian was the manager of Hughes Research Laboratories (now HRL Laboratories) RF Circuits Design Department, where he was instrumental in the development of world-record-breaking transistors and circuits. He has authored or co-authored more than 100 publications, including three book chapters and 15 invited papers. He has also been awarded 20 U.S. patents in the area of high-frequency devices and circuits, and has several patents pending. Dr. Matloubian is presently serving on the board of directors of Morpho Technologies and Kreido Laboratories and he is a board observer for Atrenta and Sonics. He has also served on the board of directors of Accumux (Acquired by OptoLink) and was a board observer for E20 Communications (Acquired by JDS Uniphase).
 
 
     
Nguyen X. Nguyen, Ph.D.
President and CEO, Cosemi Technologies
Dr. Nguyen was previously Director of Advanced Technology at Global Communication Semiconductors (GCS). He has also held technology management-level positions at Skyworks Solutions Inc. (formerly Conexant Systems, Inc.) and HRL Laboratories (formerly Hughes Research Laboratories). At GCS, he spearheaded the commercialization of InP HBT technologies and led GCS’s participation in a major DARPA program. At Skyworks he was a key contributor to the development of the 2nd generation, InGaP/GaAs HBT that enabled Skyworks to become the leader in cell phone PA production. At HRL Dr. Nguyen led the Gallium Nitride transistor technology development effort, which led to a “Distinguished Inventor Award” in 1998 in recognition of his efforts. Dr. Nguyen has over 25 publications, 3 awarded patents. He received his Ph.D. from University of California at Santa Barbara.
 
     
 
David M. Kosanke, BS, MBA
Vice President of Finance & Supply Chain
Mr. Kosanke has over 10 years of worldwide supply chain and general management experience. Prior to joining Cosemi Technologies, he worked as a Senior Manager of Operations and Supply Chain for Amazon.com. At Amazon, he was responsible for setting up and managing their North American Specialized Fulfillment operations. Prior to this role, Mr. Kosanke was Vice President of a small industrial automation firm and Senior Business Development Manager for the Parker Hannifin Corporation, a Fortune 500 engineering firm. Mr. Kosanke has B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana as well as an MBA in finance and operations management from Carnegie Mellon University.
